Promises worth repeating

I realized that I need to start posting on this bloggie after Dr. Accetta, during the group run, suggested that he named his unborn child Dragon. I settled on the name Thor but that is besides the point. It is now time to start updating this blog with training insight.

Yesterday, in the AM, Dan and I ran from the 3402 on the riverpath for a quick 6 miles. Despite the hot weather and the late start, the run went well. The six miles flew by with Dan's thirty minute long monologue concerning the terrible customer service of AllTell and the cellular phone industry in general. When Dan gets a little heated, the pace quickens which meant we were cruising at 6:30 pace with little problem.

In the afternoon, after a long, annoying day at work, the group run left from the shop at 6:15. This time around, Salvadore made an appearance along with E Trunk and ChampionsEverywhere. Also, a very strange women by the name of pam, deb or something showed up. When the run started, she was pushing the pace and, for some reason, kept looking to her side and staring at me. I am not sure if she was trying to cue off of me or what but I just figured she was weird--a perfect justification for most of her actions.

The pace of the run was mellow as we discussed Mike's recent marathon and, as I mentioned earlier, baby names for Accetta. However, the highlight of the run came when a cyclist yelled at us when we were heading back to the shop down Mountain. E Trunk did not take a like this too much and yelled back at the guy.

"shove it up your ass!"

To this, the douchebag cyclist turned around started yelling incoherent expletives. I think he wanted to throw down until he realized it would have been six against one.

Training for the day:
12 Miles
1:22
